Big Mistake! Please Help

I added an ammonia remover to my cycling tank! I've had my 20g tank set up since friday night, and just added my fish tonight. I used old filter media for the tank. I'm worried because I've just read that ammonia remover can wipe out the cycling process!?

What kind of ammonia remover is it? Liquid or something you put in the filter? If it's liquid, just do a couple of 50% water changes to help remove it.

You might want to read these too if you haven't yet:

I just learned about cycling but I already have fish. What now?!

Thank you librarygirl! I ended up doing a 25% water change. The fish have now been in the tank for almost twelve hours, and show no signs of stress.

I added a liquid ammonia remover product. Top Fin. Less than a full dose! About 4 hours before I decided to do a water change, and 2 hours before adding fish.

I am leaving soon to get a proper test kit. No work today so will be able to check my readings every few hours.
