Here's my very first tank - in the middle of it's fish-less Cycle.

Would love some thoughts, ideas or advice! Should I have more plants? Less bubbles? More money? ;-)

Looks awesome! I love that you've used squidwards house in there!

I almost always say more plants, what fish are you planning on putting in there?

Thanks :)

I'm not sure what fish to go with but so far I'm thinking about:

1) Tetras
2) Cherry Barbs
3) some type of bottom feeder

These are just vague ideas :)

It's a 29g and just about cycled now.

So hard to choose fish!

I would do:
8 cherry barbs
6 black skirt tetras
2 sparkling gourami or honey gourami
6 panda cories

Looks good! I'd add a couple more plants personally, especially if you are going with schoolers.

Black skirts can get nippy and large- what about serapes?

I've had bad experience with sepaes . They can get nippy too but not as big as bst. If kept in a good sized school sepaes could work
