I live in CA, but fortunately not in the fires' way. There is ash that is coming down from dust to larger flakes. Should I do anything special with my goldfish pond? I was going to skim the top tonight when I get home from work, but should I change out water as well?

Is there the possibility of throwing netting over it to keep the ash out of the water.

If not I would think water changes would be in order.

I'd use clear plastic sheeting and change some water for whats already gotten in.

Where do you live?

I can see the flames of the Lake Arrowhead fire from my backyard. :(

I'm pretty far from any of the fires. I am in Rancho Palos Verdes, right on the coast, right in between Irvine and Malibu essentially. They're starting to roll out more help, so hopefully they can get things under control. Yeah, a water change is probably in order.
