Cleaning off bacteria

I have BB on the side of my tank and I was wondering if it ok to clean it off or will it cause my tank to mini cycle. I have noticed it for a while but wasn't sure if its normal or should be cleaned for visual reasons.

Most of the BB live in the filter you are fine to clean the glass.
