Crayfish

I'm getting two pet crayfish to go in a 15 gallon tank and im wondering just how long the water needs to stay with the anti-chlorine formula stuff in it? also when adding new ornaments to the tank do they need to be steralised in a certain way?

crayfish are new to me ive only ever had guppies and goldfish before now.
