Cycling question

I am starting a new 40 gallon tank. I have ecocomplete substrate, a few live plants, and some mopani drift wood. The tank has a heater and a light hood. I am going to add the filter tomorrow. An aqua clear 50. I have another aqua clear 50 going in a second established 40 gallon already. I am thinking about putting the sponge part of the aqua clear from the established tank into the new tank to get the cycling going quicker. Good idea? Or not.

That will certainly speed things along, or if your not in a hurry run the second filter on the established tank for a couple of weeks.

This will help BIG time I cycled all 7 of my tanks this way with the exception mf my first which took about a month all the others took less then a week with used media not a mini cycle either tested for a week after and showed consistent nitrates
