Hi I was wondering if it would be ok to use distilled water in my aquarium? Will it harm fish? Can I use it just to top off the tank?

One unrelated question, should there be air on the top of your tank? What I mean is, should the water from the filter make a "waterfall", or should it be filled up all the way to the top?

Hello trick shot,
Distilled water is void of any nutrients that your fish need so no.
For your filter you should leave the water line below the water flow.
Hope I Helped!

I am going to say you can absolutely use it. I do. Or I use RO or reverse osmosis water. It will need remineralized. I use seachems equilibrium. As far as for toping off you can use it without remineralizing it. But you can use it.

Seachem makes one called replenish. I use the equilibrium because I have all heavily planted tanks and that one is specifically for planted. Kent marine makes one call RO right.

Are these available in the UK ? As Im in tenerife i can always get my family to post it to me. There's nothing here :(
