:ermm: So I'm new to the hobby and I saw one of my neons swim all the way to the top of the tank and slap the water at the top with his body and then swim back down. I watched them after this for an hour and they are acting normal now. No flashing or spots.... it was just odd. I've seen them do this before but it's just the once and then everything else is normal. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Looks like you have a bubbler in the tank, so oxygenation shouldn't be an issue.

Do you know your water parameters?

If you are concerned then a water change is a good first action to take.

Maybe just playing?

Hi Aiken!

My ammonia and nitrite are at zero. Nitrate was between 30-40 this morning but this happened a few hours after I did a 30% water change. It could very well be just playing. I just wanted to make sure I didn't do anything wrong I think it might have been trying to copy the betta coming up for air but who knows...
