External filter

Hi all , I have a 140 litre tank and at the moment I have an internal filter but im changing it to an external filter , should I get the fluval 206 or the 306 . Im just keeping guppies , bristlenose pleco and zebra danios in it at the moment , any help would be greatly appreciated

Either should be fine, though I’d lean more towards the 306

I would go with a 406.....but I like more circulation.

I was going to say that’s too much flow but then realized I have a pair of AquaClear 50s (@200 GPH each) on my 29g. However, using the stock return outlet will provide a lot of direct flow versus the HOB output.

You lose gph on canisters once you add all the media. If I was concerned with to much flow output I'd probably run two 206's or even two 306's depending on the fish I had.
