Fluval 4plus filter

Does anyone have experience with these filters? I'd like to see about using one in a heavily planted 90 gallon aquarium along with a canister and stuff.

The one review does not sound to good to me. Invest in the Fluval canister filters they are really awesome I have the 405. It is very easy to clean the sponge filter with no MESS!!!

Well I'd like to use it if I can just because I already have it. I figure it will move the water around enough to get more debris into the canister filter.

They are great filters. Strong flow, you can use just foam in the filter chamber, better than the U series that replaced the plus as the internal filter from Fluval.

I use them in my turtle tanks, they do a good job.

So if I use the fluval plus along with a fluval 405 do you think I'd be good for filtration? Have you had any experience with sponge filters?

Absolutely, The 405 is all you need . However ,since you have the other one might as well use it too it will also help though not needed with the 405

I don't think a 405 is enough for a 90. I have two on my 75 and I wish I hd just gotten one FX5. The need some help, at least with flow.
