Freshwater Sump Design

Hello all,

I am in the process of setting up a 210 gallon freshwater tank with a 100 gallon sump. I have mocked up the sump design; however, this is my first design ever. Does anyone have any comments/advice?

If you are thinking of plants you will not want all the baffles /overflows .
This is my favorite planted fresh water sump design still to date .

Bubblers

Do I need bulblers/air power heads in the display tank? Or will the sump flow provide enough aeration? I'm planning on using a Mag drive 24.
