So it's time for my columbian sharks to move to their bigger home and start making their way "up the river". I'm looking for suggestions on how to best slowly increase their salinity. If I'm doing regular changes and adding in back say 20 gallons of water on a change should I add just a couple tablespoons of marine salt to one of the buckets? Will it slowly increase that way? They are going to be moving into a 40 long that is built for them. Yes I know that tank is too small and with any lucky they will only be in there for a year or so until I move to a bigger house and get a 6' tank built for them. But for now they're moving from their overly decorated 36" tank to a 48" tank that is built with lots of swimming room in mind. So, with all that in mind what steps should I be taking to get them slowly brought up to brackish conditions?
