Good nitrate level

I set up my tank 5 days ago the guy from the local pet store told me to put some water from my old aquarium into my new tank it is a 90 gallon tank and I was wondering what nitrate level it should be at
 
Hello red...

If you're planning to cycle this new tank so you can put fish in it, then putting old water into the new tank isn't going to do much. There's little or no good bacteria in the old water. It lives on all the surfaces in the old tank. Put some gravel, plants, decorations from the old tank or the best thing is put some of the old filter material into the new tank's filter.

I put 2 kois from that tank and they are going in a pond soon but also 2 angles 2 plecos I put all the old gravel and plants in I shook the old filter out in my new tank and its also running in the new one I also have put cycle in it
