Hazy/cloudy water.....

Me and my son just both set up 29 gallon tanks. I have had mine for over 25 years, but converted back to tropical after a 2 year turtle run.

At first my son had a 20, but we took it back a few days later as there were a few problems, and upgraded to a 29.

When we first added water to both, mine was hazy for a few days, but his cleared up in one day.

Since going to the 29, it stays hazy, and has now been over a week. We have had the water tested on both tanks twice, and they both came out perfect on all tests.

Any idea what causes the haziness and how to clear it up? The fish are all fine.

What substrate did you use? It's either the substrate or a bacteria bloom.

You can add some floss to the filter to see if that will help.
