Healthiest Discus Strains

In the very distant future when I have a home, I will most likely succumb to getting discus. I realize they are hard to breed at all, and I would have to trigger spawning purposely. Still, in the event they do breed, I would like to be able to sell them (not really for any big profit) just to keep the numbers down.

So the two big questions are, which strains are the healthiest (not genetically weak/ prone to immune issues), AND which strains can be kept together that if crossed would produce known hybrids (ex. snow leopard= snow white x leopard)? I already know the brown wild type is the healthiest of all (duh), but say... I have heard Goldens are rather weak and should only be kept by experts.
Expert advice appreciated.

Livefishdirect has "bullet proof discus" that are bred in hard water, so they may be more resiliant then other discus
