hi all
man im having some issues ,bought a new heater when i started up
put it in my tank left it for 30 minutes, switched it on ,temp went soaring up to 38.0 :banghead: unplugged it let the temp drop again set up heater to min on dial plugged it in straight up to silly degrees again
took the heater back as must of been faulty got myself an expensive one
lights have been on more than usual but not alot ,now my water wont go below 26.9 that is with heater unplugged:facepalm:
i live in uk and i cant believe our weather is that warm to heat up my water that much PLEASE HELP!!!

It could be a circulation problem. I'm having a problem to. I need to set it to 25 to maintain 24. I live in Scotland and I doubt the weather is to blame.

Weather shouldn't effect the temperature at that high if a scale, what size tank and what's the heater rated to?

my heater is in a juwel tank in the pump casing on the side
where you are meant to put the heaters lol
its crazing me

its a 180 litre tank and the heater is rated to a 200 litre tank
all i can assume is its the lights maybe?

Yea it shouldn't be a problem withthe heater unless it's a complete misproduction. What's your lighting?

it just 2 t8 tubes standard in the juwel tank
cheers

ok will do cheers i just cant understand why my temp has sat at 26.9 allday

It's strange like. I have a bubbler and that can lower my temp at times.

i have 2 airstones on full wack aswell ,its so confusing ,close to giving up too much hassle

Airstones lower the temp because it adds oxygen to the water. Idk why that happens but it's part if chemistry, maybe it is the weather then. Does it match the room or outside temperature?

well shes right it cooled down the temp ,lights are off its starting to drop
im from norwich
cheers

ok will do both of those things move heater and check outside temp
