hey there got a question about my plants

I just got to looking at my plant and they are looking kinda rough to be honest... my ammonia and nitites were kinda high considering the tank isnt completely cycled.. could this hav to do with it? ive been adding plant food weekly.. they look kinda weepy. My temp has been steady around 76 and 78 and my light has been on a 8-10 hour cycle..

Some times plants take a minute to get used to a new tank. That could be part of the reason why they look rough. Btw how many watts per gallon are you running? Plants generally do best about 1 1/2 to 2 watts per gallon .

This isn't necessarily true. Light needed really depends on the plant in question.

cberchiolli- Would be helpful if you could tell us what type and how many watts of lighting you have as well as what plants you have in the tank.

What kind of plants do you have? The temp and light cycle seems ok.
