How long does it take?

Ok, once I put tap water in buckets, and add the salts and solution to make it water safe, how long will it take for my bucket water to be safe before I can add it to my tank with fish in it?

Right away, assuming the temperature is close to that of the tank.

Yes, same as above answer. What I do is, I first add the tetra aquasafe in the bucket and then let the tap run, so by the time water fills in the bucket, the chlorine is removed.

I assume, even if you add it later, it takes few seconds to work.
