I purchased my first aquarium last weekend. I put the crushed coral in and filled it on Sunday. Temperature and salinity both look good as well as the other water properties according to the test strip.

Now I want to add something, anything, to this set up.

Suggestions?

Welcome to the forum! If you haven't done so already, I would read up on the Nitrogen Cycle so you can get your tank cycled correctly and get it ready for fish. I would also invest in a liquid test kit because strips are not accurate; something like the API Saltwater Master Test Kit will do just fine.

Are you planning on doing a FOWLR or reef?

FOWLR. At this point Reef look amazing but they seem to be more difficult than fish. I will upgrade my test kit eventually, I definitely want the readings to be accurate.
