I have just set up a 36 gallon tank. I have 2 aqueon quiet flow 30 filters on the tank (200 GPH ea). I also have some bubbling decorations, which my wife loves.

I just want to make sure that these things won't be detrimental to any fish that I put in the tank once it has cycled.

Filter companies rate their filter's GPH with no media in them. With media and just a little dirt in them they will actually be half that. Those two should work out great on your size tank. One plus is you can rotate cleanings. One one week the other the next. Your BB will never slow down. Plus you have a back up cycled filter in case one goes out you don't have to panic.
