Smile Jelly balls and hairy plants!

Hello all. Newbie here. I set up my tank one year ago. All has been good and it's a great hobby.

I have noticed two things in my tank;

1) My plants are hairy! I have been treating with ant-fungi and algae solutions, but with no joy. Should I just replace the plants?

2) There are two marble sized jelly balls in the tank. What are these?

As a side note, all parameters are fine, and there have been no new introductions for about 3 months...either fish or plants.

I'm always happy to learn, so any advice is welcome.

How long are your lights on during the day? Often algae is caused by too much light.
Not sure about the jelly balls but you could probably just take them out.

pictures will definitely help. "jelly balls" or jelly like substance in a tank is commonly a fungal growth or a bacteria growth. when you say hairy what do you mean? green hairy? dark green/black hairy? white hairy? again pictures help alot. also more info in the tank will help.

tank size
filter
lights & light schedule
substrate
fertilizers
livestock
water parameters like:
ph
kh
gh
ammonia
nitrite
nitrate
TDS

also knowing maintance routine will give insight to what is going on.
