led night lighting for freshwater

I was thinking of buying some blue led lighting for the nighttime. i suppose it's not as useful as it is for saltwater.

any insight on this?

It's aesthetics mostly, I feel. But the tank does look great at night, if not a little too bright. I covered over the LEDs on my Coralife fixture to make them darker.

There are some nice DIY kits that would be good and cheap, if you have any electronics experience... I can't remember where I saw them but...

If you're looking for moonlights I recommend checking out this company. They sell online from there website and on ebay.
I bought mine from there ebay listing for my freshwater tanks and I love them!!!
