Hi! Was wanting to put some live plants in my 5.5 gal rectangle tank. Would a moss ball be ok? What's a small plant that's not going to grow too tall? Looked at Petsmart for small floating plants but they didn't have any... Thanks!

What sort of lighting do you have? Assuming you have low light then yes, marimo moss balls will do fine. Anubias, Java fern, Java moss, and crypts are all plants you can look into. Many crypts stay pretty short and bushy in low light, some common ones are crypt wendtii and parva. Anubias nana 'petite' is a popular choice for small tanks as their leaves are much smaller than the normal nana variety. A smaller leafed Java fern variety like 'Philippine' or 'narrow leaf' would look nice in a 5g and not get too big.

I just have the little LED light that came with the tank. Here is what it looks like. Thanks for the advice! ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1413241051.304689.jpg
