low ish ammonia, high nitrite and high nitrate

before the water change. i had a 4.0 ppm ammonia, either 2.0 or 5.0 ppm nitrite , about 0 ppm nitrate


after about 40% water change i did yesterday.
the readings are 0.50 or 1.0 ppm ammonia. same nitrite, 40 or 80 ppm nitrate

is this normal? i have no idea...ammonia dropped, and nitrate increased by A LOT


sorry that i gave 2 ppm for some of it since the color is too similir..BAD EYES lol
