I read that guppies will do okay in temps down to fifty. I'm hoping that he's strong enough to survive. He was swimming around in the middle of his qt just a moment ago, but then was too tired and swam back to the bottom. He never is still though. I can tell he's a fighter. I'm hoping that he'll pull through.

Really sorry to hear about your guppy... I hope he pulls through okay...

Thanks. He's swam around in the middle a few times, and then quickly tires, but he never stops moving. I have some cautious hope for him, but it's very hard to say for sure whether he will pull through or not. I've had some amazing luck with fish so far and hope I'll have that with Nemo.

*nod* Our thoughts are with you. Sounds like he just needs some good time to heal up and rest.

Same. He hasn't improved, but he hasn't gone downhill. He's still trying to be active but having a hard time because of his fins. I'm gonna see what I can pick up today. Aquarium salt, and pimafix or melafix, or just one? Should I use pimafix or melafix?

Oh come on!! Do it!! :) sooo cute :) lil ankle biters...

I would do breeding, but I don't want to overstock the tank, and the zebra danios would eat them all. I figured if I'm not trying to breed them, I'd get the males because they're pretty.

You'd save money on food :) jk

I've heard that using aquarium salt along with pimafix or melafix really improves the recovery process, but that's only what I've been told. I've never used the stuff before...

The nice thing about tattered and torn fins is that those will eventually regrow...

That I would! Lol. I wouldn't want to have them be eaten though. So I'm not giving them the chance.

Here are some pictures. Sorry for the crappy iPod quality. The last five are of Nemo. Some of them show up at weird angles. Nemo is right side up, it's the iPod that was being weird.

The pictures that show the gold guppy do not do him justice. His name is Damon, because he is awesome just like Damon Salvatore, a totally hot vampire from The Vampire Diaries.

Lol, what can I say, I'm a teenage girl! I put something over the filter intake because he seemed to be struggling at times. It seems to have helped.

The melafix should help, but if you can get some aquarium salt, he'd definitely thank you for it!
