So, whenever I get a mystery snail, it is fine and happily eating for about a week or two but then it's shell starts to look scratched and thin and then after another week or two it goes into its shell and dies. My water chemistry is fine and all my fish are perfect. Could there be a mineral or something that it needs in the water that mine is lacking?

Not sure at the moment- I'm away at school. But it's normally around neutral, sometimes as low as 6.5 but nothing ever extreme.

See that's your problem! Low ph usually doesn't have calcium low calcium causes she'll deformity and death i lost 5 snails to low ph :(

Ok so calcium is the problem! Thanks! Do I need to add calcium, or raise pH with an additive, or is there a natural way to solve that problem?
