Need Help

I am getting a 50 gallon tank and I am going to put freshwater fish in. I need some advice for some good medium sized fish, a good filter, a good air pump, and a good heater. If you have any cool medium sized freshwater fish send a picture and tell me the name of it.
Thank You!!!!!
Nick

I've got a 55 gallon that I am keeping Mainly Gouramis and Ram and South American Dwarf Cichlids (Have 2 Apistogramma Borellis on order!). You can see the pics of my Gouramis and Bolivian Ram Cichlids in my album. They are all still quite small as I haven't had them for long.

A canister filter would do well for that size tank. I've used Fluvals and Eheims, either one are good. I currently have an Eheim 2215 on my 40 gal, so you could do either the 2215 or the 2217. Is this your first tank? You might want to read up on cycling and this guide has some other info in it too: Guide to Starting a Freshwater Aquarium - Aquarium Advice
