need help designing a ecosystem tank that's semi self sufficient

I'm looking at making my own ecosystem aquarium. Tank size around 60 gallons. Wanting bottom feeders like catfish (looking at pictus catfish or raphael catfish). Don't know what fish to use for feeder fish but plan to use some food until the ecosystem gets going. I really need some help on figuring what plants to get and what fish, as well as any pumps, lights, and other helpful instruments i may need to help make this easier. Any tips are welcome, and if someone is willing to help plan this out with me that would be best.
