New 20Gal Setup

Hi,

I am starting my first Aquarium soon and I just wanted to make sure that my proposed setup is okay before going ahead.

20 Gallon Planted Tank

1 Columbian RAM
5/6 Cardinal Tetras
2 Mickey Mouse Platies (gold)
3/4 Amano Shrimp

Are you cycling the tank?

I'm going to do a fish-less cycle with the plants before I add fish. I read up on all the starting guides. I just wanted to know if my fish will be compatible or if it's too crowded.

Fish stock sounds fine. The ram could could make a quick snack of any shrimp though. I would also suggest getting two of the same sex platys to avoid overstocking with fry (unless you have plans for another tank ).
