New Quietflow overflowing

Hi, I am a beginner. So excuse me if I say something wrong. So I bought a 10 gallon aqueon LED fish tank kit. Right now, I am doing a fishless cycle. Now its been 3 days and the filter is overflowing(Aqueon quietflow). Please help.

Are you sure you set the filter up correctly according to the instructions? Can you post a picture of the issue?

Well I can't tell if that's overflow or not. However you have so much room in that filter! Take out that cartridge and put in as many plastic pot scrubbies you can for better media. Don't have to clean for months too.

Remove the blue plastic cartridge and the white stuff. Put in all plastic scrubbies.
