New tank-new fish

Hello, I recently just upgraded to a 55 g fish tank from a little bitty 10 g tank. With the bigger tank, I was wanting to go a bit more exotic. I was thinking of getting an Axolotl. I have done a fair amount of research on them and have discovered that there are few fish that are compatible with these beautiful creatures. I was wondering if anyone has experience with having tank mates with these fish.

Axolotls need temperatures between 64 and 75 degrees, colder than most tropical fish need. Goldfish would be a good bet.
