New tank starter fish?

I want to do guppies i my 30 hex or the 10 gallon i just got..could I buy some and see if they can help the cycle along? or would adding a 6inch pleco I have do a better job..along with prime n Cycle

A 6 inch pleco is way too big to be in a 10 gallon tank and probably too big for a 30 hex. Is it a common pleco? If so they need at least 75 gallons of tank but most people will tell you they need 125. Enough of the lecturing, I would add a small school of tetras to the tank to help the cycle along. There is nothing wrong with cycling with fish as long as you stay on top of the parameters and maintain them properly.

I just bought ten small rosy reds to start the cycle..Yeha I agree the tank is too small for him but I tried to move him to my 60 and he and the other plco just fought..so am30 is better then a 10 for now
