New tankmates suggestions- 55 gallon

I currently have a 55 gallon FW tank with the following inhabitants:

3 Pictus Cats
1 Honey Gourami
1 Denison Barb

I plan on adding 4 more Denison Barbs, but I feel the tank will still be a little empty.

My question is this:

What else can I put in the tank? I want a somewhat larger fish that won't get eaten by the Pictus but is also peaceful. I want to avoid nocturnal fish if possible.

I think once you add the barbs, adding a bristlenose pleco would be your best option. Torpedo barbs are very active so I wouldn't add more midwater fish
