My tank has been cycling for just over a month now. I have had no ammonia readings for at least two weeks, however nitrites are high (expected). Doing daily water changes to see the numbers go down slightly. Using Prime to condition water along with Stability. My question is how long does it usually take for the BB to start consuming the nitrites? They seem to be doing a good job on the ammonia. It is a ten gallon tank, with a marineland bio-filter. Any help would be be greatly appreciated.

Your Nitrite should be cycling into Nitrate. Cycling should be complete in 8 weeks. Try cutting down on the frequency of your water changes. Your bacteria needs some Nitrite to work on.

My 10g had nitrites for 2 weeks, fish in cycle & the complete cycle too 8 weeks. You're close, hang in there.
