So upgrading from a 10 to a 55 and have Pfs and some plants and just got some corys. Before putting them in I tested the water and the ph is about 8.4 how bad is that and if it's too bad how can I lower it to make it more acidic thanks

It's better to keep it where it is than trying to lower the pH. Drip acclamate them for am hour or so and they should be fine.
