Pure ammonia

The place I usually get my pure ammonia don't carry it anymore. I think I read in one post that ACE hardware brand was pure. Anyone know for sure?

yep - that is what I saw too. check the bottle

If ur not sure ALWAYS shake and if it foams. Don't use it!

Yeah, ACE is the stuff. A good was to check is to shake it (mentioned above) or check the ingredients for surfactants. The only ingredient in there should be ammonia.

I've found some to have no surfactants but still foamed when shaken!!!!

Thank you everyone, Shook the bottle in the store no foaming, so I was pretty sure it was the good stuff. I only seen Ammonium Hydroxide listed for ingredients so figured I was all good. Thanks again for the quick response Much quicker than reading back through the posts to find where I read about Ace brand

Ace is great stuff! Ive used it to cycle & use it to my qt cycled when it doesnt have fish. Just dont smell the bottle!
