I have a new tank. Its going through its cycle. Now I have an extra tank and I'm going to make it a Quarentine tank. Do I need to keep a fish in the tank to keep it stable till I need it?

Nope. Best way is to just run the filter on you main tank and if you need QT, fill up the tank, slap on the filter and you are good to go.

My new tank is going through a cycle with my filters from my old tank. I would think my QT tank would do the same.

It will be seeded enough for the fish you have in QT at any given time. It is not like you would be supporting a whole tank load of fish with it, just a couple sick ones or new arrivals.

Ok. thanks for the help. I'ts a lot easier to store a tank than take care of one.
