okay, i just filled up my tank and tested everything, should there be 10ppm nitrate in my water?

a fast reply would be great guys, as you can see im as green as grass.

Test your tap water it may have nitrates in it.

well it just came out of my tap so it has to, will that affect the cycle?

Yeah, thats fine. At this point, there's no need to even test nitrates. I wouldn't even test them until you have a nitrite reading.
