My dad has a 10 gallon FW tank that is up and running but currently empty. He wants to put in a few red-tailed black sharks and nothing else.
I am thinking of starting a larger FW tank so when they start growing we can move them out.
But will three sharks live together? They live in the same tank together at the fish store, although I doubt for very long periods of time.

Red tailed sharks are territorial and will fight each othe also being in a 10 gallon will probably stunt their growth so the will never reach max size even if they survive the fighting

Even if he could afford an upgrade to a 20 gallon long that would create many more possibilities
