Setting up a betta tank

Have a spare 8 g with heater filter and decor I will start now with loads of pics so u guys can help with the final look :)

The filter is just a smaller version of the one in my 16 g so thy take the same cart rages il put the 16 g cart rages in that filter for an instant cycle:)


The sand is clean and will be going now
 
Yup its the marina s10 rated for 10 g

I had an ancient betta ( my lil boy) that was In a 3 g his life and I decided to move him to a bigger tank so I bought a 16 g to put all the fish from the 8 g do he could live out in the 8 g but he died the day before :( but I didn't want to waste a tank

Aww that's sad. :( I had a 5 year old Betta that recently died.
Now you get to give another Betta a nice home. :)
 
Pick a smaller snail. The larger ones don't do as well with the change of tanks. Also look for one that fills or even overflows from its shell. If they are sunken into their shell it means they could be weak or sick. It's also normal for them not to move for long periods of time so don't worry if it doesn't appear to move. :) Acclimate it like you would a fish.
 
Yes, two will fit in an 8g. Because they are quite large and poop a lot add them to the bioload of the tank. Watch your parameters closely after you add them. If you do end up with a male and female and you find an egg clutch just scrape it off, freeze it and throw it away.
