I recently brought home a pleco. Now I have a messy tank.
I'm wondering if there is a method to gravel vacuum in tight spots - between glass and rocks behind driftwood - and so on without taking large chunks of aquascaping out of the tank.

I was thinking about taping a regular vacuum attachment to the end of the gravel vac to get into those hard to reach spots. I think this would increase the suction also.

Any products like this? Any tips to increase suction and access?

thanks

A piece of stiff 1/4 inch diameter tubing would do the trick too. Look in the hardware store/home center. You can also get the plastic fittings that you would need to attach it to the python tubing (which is 5/8 inch I think).

The smaller your vaccuum end is, the more suction it will have. It will suck slower, but it will pick up larger particles. You may have to keep that in mind if you have a light substrate like sand.

If you have a powerhead of sumbersible filter you can use that to blow the waste out of the tight places.
