water conditioner is crap. stress coat is okay. prime is the best. prime may cost a little more, but you use 1/5 as much as stress coat so it lasts much longer

They all work just fine but prime is by far the most popular because of how concentrated it is.

It also removes ammonia unlike most water conditioners, and restores the fishes slime coat.

It doesn't remove it per say, but it converts it into a safe form of ammonia for a short period of time allowing it to be consumed by the BB in the tank.
