Tank Cycle Ammonia?

Potential silly question.. Every article about Fish-less Tank Cycling say you need to add ammonia to the aquarium. Can you cycle the tank without adding ammonia and just using Tetra filter active supplements?

Most likely not. Those substances assume you have fish in the tank (or something that generates waste).

Whenever i search for ammonia dosing products all i find is products to remove ammonia?

try searching pure household ammonia?

i have no experience cycling this way - i had used filter from a healthy tank and just had to add food, and am using this parent tank as a donor to my two little ones currently cycling (/cycled im hoping if the current readings maintain )

Amazon have it! I can't remember the name of it but it's a cleaning product that you may also be able to find at a DIY store.
Search on the net see what you can find but I have seen the product you need on amazon
