Tank cycling

I am cycling a 100 g. tank. Has everything in it except fish!

404 Fluval
artificial plant
black and lavender gravel
stones
heater
large piece of driftwood
Several pieces of pothos rooting

Here are the water #'s:
PH 7.6
GH 107.4
KH 71.6
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10

I am concerned about the 7.6 PH. The water #'s in my 55 g. which all fish ( 3 plecos, 3 silver dollars & 2 albino cory cats) in it are going in the 100 g. are:
PH 6.8
GH 125.3
KH 71.6
Nitrite.25
Nitrate 80
I have a problem keeping the Nitrate down in the 55 g. I know it is overstocked. That's why a got a 100g. I'm trying to get the water #'s in each tank to be close to one another for two weeks but to no avail! I do water changes in the 55 g. twice a week. I'm concerned about fish stress placing fish in new tank with such different #'s. I put Cycle in the big tank 3 days ago. Also NovAqua.
Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated!!

With the fact that you have Nitrite and Nitrate present in your 55, could it be possible that the tank isn't cycled yet? You didn't post what your Ammonia levels are in the 55. How much of a water change do you do in the 55? Too much of a water change in combination with gravel vac can cause your tank to re-cycle.

You shouldn't have a problem moving them from one tank to another as long as you acclimate them properly. Remember, the tank levels at the lfs and the tank levels at your house are not going to be exactly the same. What's the ammonia levels in both tanks?
