Tank with Stand

Ok, I just got this tank about a week ago, cleaned it up and did a leak test, now i'm ready to set it up and i'm nervous about the stand! Is it normal to not have anything to support the bottom?

Nope! My 45 long doesn't have a top on the stand its on. Just the edges, and its been that way for 5 months.

For glass no. Most of the weight is distributed along the brace on the edges (the black plastic rims). With an acrylic tank you will need a stand that has a bottom to it or the bottom with break off and it will be a huge mess.

Yes it is normal to not have anything in the middle in a stand for a glass tank that size

Sorry I meant to say for a glass tank no it will not be a problem having it on a stand with no bottom.
