I like #2. I kept them cardinals and black neons together before and always thought they looked nice.

Which one would you choose!?!?!?!
Help please!
IMO.........
Pearl danios are not angel-safe. Glass cats are sensitive. I think you have had your fill of sensitive fish. So, no to possibility5.
Hatchets are ugly, so no to #4.
I have had a hard time finding much good info on furcata rainbows, so they seem iffy. No #3
I vote #2 or 1, but hey, thats just me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to look up the bentosis since I wasn't familiar with the name. I had always heard ornate tetras. I've never kept them before but always wanted to. I think they'd go pretty well with the hatchets. I might need to change my vote since honestly I'm not a huge crdinal fan anyway.

Okay...
I moved the tetras into a small five gallon tank that is only a temporary home, just caught them today because I didn't want to have to catch them later, thought it'd be more convenient so that the other fish have some time for themselves.
I have decided on bentosi and black neon tetras. Sound okay?

No dont worry, it's final, I have spent like way too much money on these fish!

I think it'd be a good combo too. I like the different colors and the different body shapes ideas.

Better! I can never see my black catfish. He can sometimes be right in front of me but with black substrate its tough haha. If its tan with green plants i think the black neons would look nice!!!!

Sounds good to me but then I'm biased as that was a combination I was thinking about for my own tank.

Update!

Well traded in those darn pristellas and rummies and got me some black neons instead

However...yet another predicament...

The bentosi tetras look nothing like they do online. Faded and washed out. I looked at some in their display tank but they looked about the same.

So...

I re-thought about what fish I wanted. I asked about cardinals, but they said they'd get eaten. So then I asked if they could ship in some flame or Von rio tetras. The Von rios they said no to, as they can't find them anywhere, but the flame tetras they should get in by Tuesday.

That's when I saw...

Glowlight danios. No, not glofish, glowLIGHT danios in the display tank. They looked amazing!

Only problem is I know nothing about them an if they'd do well with my angel. The guy said maybe if I had a bigger tank, but in mine it would be a risky combo with the angels and danios.

So...what do ya think?

There are fish that looked washed out in fish stores that color up nicely after they are acclimated to a larger, cleaner, overall better environment. I have experienced this when buying cardinals sold singly. When they get to my 55 and are acclimated, they color up amazingly and join the rest of the cardinals. This is my experience and I think you shouldnt lose interest so fast, unless you didnt want them to begin with.

Edit: Especially if your original set up works.

Aren't Flame Tetras and Von Rio Tetras the same thing? Or by Von Rio do you mean the orange colored ones? Sorry for the cluelessness.
