prob not the best plan, they are extremely active & need lots of leg room.
I have 14 of various ages in a 38 gallon & there are times I sit & imagine what 25 or so would do in a 125G.
they do best in minimum groups off an odd number over 7-9.
recently i got a large mass of Xmas moss (football size) they decided it would be fun to pick the leaves off,it became a group event after dinner game in 4 days they reduced it to 1/3.
I watched as they plucked them swam off a lil spit it out & returned to repeat,
how much they actually ate? i doubt very little from the debris in the tank.
So tomorrow I will likely find out what the New game is going to be.
20+ g fer Barb's would be my best answer.(limit there of 9.)

Yeah, you need at least 7 so they take their aggression out on each other, rather than your other fish, so I would never put that many in a 10g. However, Cherry Barbs are very pretty and more suitable to a tank that size.
