Well currently I have 5 fish. 1electric green glolite tetra a small x-ray tetra and two danio glofish and a beta(sperate of course.) This fall i'll be moving to college which is about a 2and a half to 3 hour drive and I'd like to know how to transport my fish. I asked a lady at petsmart and she said theyd bag them for me but that doesnt sound like a good way to do it.

Also I've just gottn my beta a bigger "tank" plexiglass cookie jar with a lid. Will it be allright to transport him in this with the water level dropped a few inches if i open the lid a few times during the trip?

overall whats the best way to transport fish and their tanks with the least amount of stress to the fish and least ammount of damage to my tanks.

I think that bagging would be a good idea as long as you have some thing to keep the bags from rolling around
