Welcome to my build journal of my 23g treasure chest.

Step one: Seal wood and attach light fixture.

Step two: Check for leaks and set up filter. I use Aqueon AT30.

Stay tuned for more. I can take more pictures if you guys want more.

Also any ideas on what I should stock the tank with.

This will be awesome!

How many gallons will this be?

Edit:: I reread and saw that its 23 gallons.
How about some gold and silver colored fish (not goldfish though) That way it kind of looks like you have treasure in there! You could even get a couple of brightly colored fish to look like jewels? -- just a thought, no clue of what to tell you exactly for stocking.

Added 20 pounds of sand probably going to add 10 more pounds.

And I did not build this tank. Got it from my fiancées dad who didn't really take care of it. I added wood rot glue and sealed the whole thing up.

I have some metallic tetras that would sparkle in your tank. I don't know what they are called though. They look like metallic gold and are great little schoolers!
