So I have an extra 1.5 gallon tank with a HOB filter up to 10 gal. I would like to home some unique invert. Possibly a blue lobster? Any tips?

You could do a few thai micro crabs if you have decent flow, plan on moderate planting and don't mind mixing up invert baby food (look up shrimp fry foods) mixed in water, then added in small amounts to the return flow. They're filter feeders, so they get their food out of the water column and won't be able to eat traditional foods. Not the easiest to care for, but there you are. Thorn nerite snails are quite adorable IMO and would help clean up any leftovers :D
